The New Hockey Pitch Sweeper

Arriving in the middle of last week was the State Netball Hockey Centre's brand new Hockey pitch sweeper all the way from Germany. The pitch sweeper's arrival is just in time to prepare the Hockey pitch surfaces for the three Hockey Internationals taking place in July, the Pitch sweeper is set to enhance the playing viability of the surfaces for numerous years to come.

The pitch sweeper effectively provides SNHC with a means for cleaning the pitch surfaces. The pitch sweeper is designed to pick up loose objects on the surface of the pitches, while at the same time slightly lifting the fibres of the surface. This in turn allows the pitches to hold water for longer periods of time, giving a better quality of play during Hockey matches.

New Bicycle Racks

During this week the State Netball Hockey Centre recieved and installed ten new bicycle racks out the front of SNHC. The new bicycle racks allow for the accommodation of the ever increasing number of patrons riding to SNHC.

As the State Netball Hockey Centre actively encourages the use of alternate forms of transport, including public transport and bicycles, it was seen as fitting for new bicycle racks to be installed. The new racks accomodate an additional twenty bicycles. The new bicycle racks are located out the front of SNHC just near the bottom of the entry ramp, adjacent to the roundabout.
