Hockey

The State Netball Hockey Centre is Victoria's premier hockey venue. With two world-class pitches, SNHC has hosted events such as:

  • Australian Hockey League
  • Four Nations Hockey Tournament
  • Australia vs. Spain Mens Hockey Series
  • Australia vs. China Womens Hockey Series
  • Oceania Cup (Hockey)

In November 2009, SNHC will host the worlds premier hockey tournament, the ABN AMRO Mens Hockey Champions Trophy.

Both hockey pitches are recognised by the International Hockey Federation as being of interntional standard. The main pitch is the premier hockey pitch in Victoria, with a 1000 seat undercover grandstand. The second pitch has a longer playing area to allow for Lacrosse and a hockey warm up area. It has a 325 seat grandstand.

Both pitches have a built in irrigation system that utilise recycled water.

The world-class pitches are extremely versatile and can be used for other purposes including:

  • Hockey
  • Lacrosse
  • Soccer
  • Football training
  • Cricket training
