Netball
The netball facilities at SNHC are second to none, with the centrepiece being the 3055 seat Show court. SNHC hosts Commonwealth Bank Trophy (or National Netball League) matches involving the Melbourne Phoenix and Melbourne Kestrels, in addition to international games such as Australia vs. New Zealand and the Tri-Nations Series. As the home stadium for netball in Victoria, the centre is the venue for Victorian State League matches, the Victorian Institute of Sport (VIS) squads and numerous local competitions.
The Show court features a retractable seating bank (West Bank) of 1270 seats that can be brought in or out in a matter of minutes. When retracted, a second court is available for use in the main stadium. In addition to these two courts, there are another three indoor courts located in the secondary hall and a further four courts outside, which are under lights.
A media commentary box is located in the Show court, along with VIP spectator seating, electronic scoreboards and spectator amenities, including wheelchair and carers spaces. Separate dedicated change rooms for teams and umpires as well as briefing rooms are available during events in the Show court in the Special Events area.
The netball function room has views over the show court, and provides access to the upper seating bank that has 150 padded seats. The function room has the ability to be split into three separate areas, and has a total capacity of 220 patrons. The room boasts bar facilities, audio control system, storeroom, nearby amenities and a great view of the action on the showcourt.
Additional to the main stadium is the three court secondary hall for training and competition, and four outdoor courts under lights. All courts are linked with the central public address system, and the indoor courts have electronic scoreboards. The viewing deck over the outdoor courts provides a great view on a sunny day.
